SINGLE SIGN-ON
One City account. Your lease, your applications, your record.
Lease On The Block uses NYC.ID — the same account you use for Housing Connect, ACCESS HRA and 311. There is no separate password, and no new identity check: the City already knows who you are.
ONE ACCOUNTThe same NYC.ID that signs you into Housing Connect, ACCESS HRA and 311 signs you into your lease. No new password to lose.
PROVEN ONCEHousehold size, income and contact details come from your Housing Connect profile. You declare them once, not once per landlord.
YOUR KEYYour NYC.ID becomes the tenant key on the record. A signature can be traced to a person without publishing who that person is.
NO LOCK-INThe code is open source and the record is public. If the City changes vendors, the ledger and your history stay where they are.
